Salaam alaikum

I am trying to understand islam(was raised christian but don't believ in most of its doctrine).

Is the salat positions for men and women the same?If not how do they differ? Also can you guide me to a site that gives me pictures of the different positions.

God bless

ok lol this is long!
INTENTION:a person shud stand erect with his face erect towards the Qibla with both hands straight on his sides
TAKBIR TAHRIMA:then he raises both hands as far as ears ,the female only to the shoulder and says "Allahu Akbar"
QIYAM:then he brings both hands down and folds btw the navel with right hand ovr left hand.Females fold hands on their breasts and then begin recitation
well u remain like this till the ruku in which he bows down holding his knees and says the following"SUBHANA RABB IY AL AZEEM
then he stands erect and recites tasmia
wen he goes in sajda or prostration he places both his knees on the ground first ,then both hands ,then nose, then forehead, the face shud be btw both the palms ,the men shun not place their elbows on the ground whi;le the females are allowed and they shud perform sajda in such a way tht they donot raise the rear portion of the body ,which they keep resting on their calves
after this when he sits down in Jalsa he shud sit on his left foot and keeps the roight foot erect on the ground ,both hands shud be on his thighs close to his knees ,then again his says Allah huAkbar
this is how most of the prayer is repeted and u just repeat the following steps throughout the namaz
regarding wat u say it is the same for both men and women but basically the way they sit and stand etc the positions r different
so i congratulate u on becoming a muslim
may Blessings of Allah Allmighty be on u
do watch the dvds of Dr Zakir naik
if u hav any queries feel free to mail me

Here is a website with some pictures but this is only for men when they pray. The difference with women is that instead of putting your hands on your stomach, we put our hands in front of our bosoms, and the right hand MUST be on top of the left hand. When you do "sijdah" (bow to the ground), your bum should not be as high as a man's is and your feet should be flat on the ground. I hope that helps.
