The goal is to bring glory to God through our work.

"Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve." - Colossians 3:23-24

Whatever you do do it for the glory of the Lord. More important rely on the Holy Spirit's wisdom, direction and empowerment to help you in your work. Do not work hard to tire yourself but work by resting in the Lord.

I was raised to believe that you give 100% of yourself in everything you do. As long as you give it your personal best...you can't be expected to do more than that. If you work as if you are working for the Lord everyday, you'll find it's much easier to get through the stresses of work.

i work with adults with developmental disabilities, and i work hard because i know they are close to God and cannot sin, and that is the closest to being able to not sin as i can get until i get to heaven. the people i work with know what real love is...and i dont mean being in love, but they know what it means to love unconditionally =)

To glorify God.

"Thou shalt not steal"
To work less than my full capabilities would mean that I'm stealing from my employer, who is paying me for my time.

"A workman is worthy of his hire." I must be a workman to be worthy of my salary.

"Occupy 'till I come." means that we should stay busy during the day while we await His return for His church.
