its romantic and it shows that they want to be with us rather than the chick wearing the pants and taking the steps and if the girl did it well thats weird

1. That's the way it is.
2. Girls are way to sensitive.
3. Girls have the babies, so at least the men can propose.
4. We want a man, not a boy!

Not all girls want the guy to propose first I have heard of some females who bit the bullet n proposed first, but initially I think it's part of the guy showing that he is willing to go out on a limb for the woman he loves.

I'm not really sure, I personally think because tradition shows that the man proposes. I want my proposal to be well thought out and romantic.

Its been that way all through time...
Its called "tradition".
Traditionally, the man was the bread winner and the female was the "stay at home Mom", so, the bread winner proposed to whom ever he wanted to become the Mother of his children. He supported them all...
Now, the roles are reversed to an extent, and whom ever is the bread winner can propose to whomever they choose now. Or, it doesnt matter if they are the "bread winner" or not, anyone can propose in this day and age...
But, I still value traditional ways...
I wish you well..

It's traditional...and proposing to a guy isn't very feminine...it will make her feel like the man...it's not right for a woman to propose to a man...it's an unwritten rule...& it's somehting she'll have to live with...my husband didn't propose to me...I proposed to my husband?? HUH?!?!?...& I feel that if the man was really ready and wanted to be married, he would propose...

Many believe it is the way God intended it to be. For the Guy to Pursue the Lady. Its almost part of our DNA. Which is why it feels/seems awkward when its the other way around. yes, we all want to get married(Most of us) But guys think about How they are gonna ask, and Girls think about When they will be ask and whats in the box when it will happen. I would advise any girl thinking about asking a guy that its prob not a good idea.

Actually i dont think it should matter either way. Im thinking about proposing to my man in the beginning of next year sometime. If you really think the relationship is going good it shouldnt matter who proposes.

Females feel that it's up to the men because it's been that way for many many years. Tradition. Most women also want to see how romantic their man is when they do finally ask.

cause we are created that way.a woman wants to be loved and can only be sure of that when the guy made the move.Just like the way men want to be respected and not be ridiculed when they make a decision that they have given some thought.
