I have asked the same question...basically...If you smoke...quit, it is hard for your body to gain with nicotine in your system, next, increase your calories700 to 1000 more than recommended per day. Eat whole grains, fruits, veggies, extra cheese, etc. I found in my nutrition book to eat three meals a day, and make three sandwiches in the morning to eat between your other meals. This is hard...I have tried it, still working on it. Also, try carnation instant breakfast with whole milk...that should put a little bit if weight on you. Good luck.

God!!! I'll give you mine! You must be super thin to want to gain weight. My doctor told me to eat lots of dairy products when I was pregnant because I wasn't gaining the way he wanted me to. It worked. You probably have a very high metabolism so anything you eat is burned right off. I don't know hun, keep in mind that Thanksgiving is this Thursday so you may be able to use that to your advantage! - - - You're not anorexic or bulemic are you??? Hope you're not trying to gain weight to cover up a problem, because now that I think about it, you never once metioned about EATING things to gain weight!!! Anyway good luck!

Just eat a lot and exercise you will gain and lose weight but over all it will be good, remember some people can't gain weight quickly.

Eat better. Eat foods found in nature. No foods made in a factory. None.
Get active. Everyday do something. Walk. Run. Dance. Whatever. Get a dog, take it for a walk. Play with your kids if you have any. Get moving.
You do these 2 things then your weight will fall off. Learn more:

Do it the old fashion unhealthy way. Eat High Calorie foods and Burn as few calories as possible. just consult your local couch potato. I'm, sure you have one in your family or at work, we all do. More fried foods, more MilkShakes, Don't exercise. Oh yeah, don't go too crazy, still eat your veggies, just make sure they are fried and dipped in BlueCheese or Ranch dressing! You can gain alot in 4 weeks, but it won't be all that porportional, especially for you since you must be very skinny since your posting this question. Oh yeah, Only eat 2or 3 times a day. The more meals the more your matabolism will work (you don't wan that) try to skip breakfast, If you can't make sure its donuts and pastries. and eat your dinner or dessert as late as possible. Those sugars will turn straight to fat.

Don't eat unhealthy foods. Just eat more.
It's not good to continue eating after your body tells you you're full.
in addition to your three healthy meals a day....have more (healthy)snacks.
Would you rather gain fat weight or bulk weight ??

gaining weight is easier than loosing weight . if you want to gain weight eat more on carbohydrates, breverages and take vitamins to have a good appetite so you can eat more.
