Yes I've used that in the past and works just the same as bottled oil. You'd need quite a lot of squirts to shallow fry fish though, you're better off using normal bottled oil. Olive oil is a good and healthy option.

I wouldn't bother. It just won't be right. Try shallow frying with olive oil or veggie oil. Skip the butter. Make sure your oil is up to temp before you put your food in. This will prevent your food from absorbing the oil. When you fry with the proper temperature your food will contain only about a teaspoon of oil...which isn't bad at all.

Yeah, it's called pan-frying. Not5 sure cooking spray would work, but a couple Tbsp. of EVOO would be nice. If it has a breading, the breading will absorb some oil. No breading will take less oil to pan-fry.

Use only expeller pressed oil (cold pressed not commercially processed) and stay away from olive oil for frying as it gets very bad for you if it gets too hot. The proper oil is good for you. Try Canola, grape seed, rice bran, caritino(brand) coconut oil. Experiment with them to see which ones you like the best. As far as the spray I don't like it for frying (except eggs) but it is good for baking

I would fry your fish in a little cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil. Olive oil is one of the healthiest oils you can use. Studies have also found that using it can lower your levels of the bad cholesterol. Beware though that olive oil has a low "smoke point". You can also use canola oil.

I use it all the time-and there is a sunflower oil spray and an olive oil spray-and both are very effective. It tastes no differently than if you had used oil,but much healthier!

Great idea to lighten up. There is also a book out called Guilt Free Frying that has tons of recipes for oven baked versions that cut the fat way down but still taste great and are crispy like dee fried. check it out!

I prefer both fruits and fresh vegetables better, regardless how they look and taste. You desire a little of both.
