This kitty is very scared at the vet. I work at one so I see this all the time. Cats are very independent creatures. Having someone manhandle them in unusual ways (vet) is very stressful. It is a good deterrent to get rid of the problem as well as a fear response. You can really only comfort him after, and he may just need a little time to get over the trauma after the visit...A little quiet time, and maybe a can of tuna :) Jenny

Many cats do that, because they are afraid being taken to the vet. It is a bit like us going to the dentist, but cats don't know what's going to happen. But if they have made once a bad experience with a vet, the fear becomes stress.
Your uncle's cat seems to have a second reason for stress: the dog he obviously doesn't get along with. The only advice I can give you is to separate the animals, the cat must remain with you.

Fear, stress. Cats do not do well with changes of their scenery. He needs to be kept in one place all the time.

As for peeing at the vet, that's just fear. At least it sounds like it to me. Mine do that (or worse) from time to time.

He's a nervous, scared, cat. Not uncommon at all.

Sounds like your uncle has a bladder problem. Adult diapers are available. As for the cat pissing, shoot it!
