Would like to be able to erase items from picture, add items or replace person or object and have it look natural. Medium price range.

photoshop is perfect for that job , but it is expensive and hard to learn. on the other hand there is a Free Full Version program that might be very useful to you here : http://downint.googlepages.com/photosoftware

How about free? The GIMP is a freeware image editing program that is virtually identical to photoshop 7 - not quite as powerful as the newest version, but without the hefty price tag.

It's made for Linux, but if you visit the gimp.org site, they have links to GIMP for windows, mac and unix at the bottom, so you can select whatever O/S you have.

Adobe photoshop is by far the best. You can place people's head on other people's body and things like that. Its fun. I placed mine and my girlfriends face over bodies of models doing a catwalk. You should have seen the look on her face when I showed her the pic.
