Hi OH Girl!

To best answer your question, I would need to know your BMI, how tall and how heavy, what age.

However, I am going to assume that you are like most people and could stand to lose a few pounds. Your best bet is to keep your calories at 1500 per day and keep up the running. Your leg issue is probably where your body stores fat, thus, if you control the calories in, the body fat should start to come off that area.

I believe this answers your question, but if not, you can shoot me an email at: gregg@leandownsite.com

Good luck on your diet and fitness goals!

The best thing to do is go to the gym and talk to a trainer. They will know exactly the type of exercise that you need to do to focus on that part of your legs. Walking may be helping your calf muscles, but not helping your upper leg muscles much at all. So just see if you can get a consultation with a trainer at the gym! Maybe you won't even have to join, it could be something simple that you can do at home!

Running will help you lose weight, but you need to do exercises to tone your leg muscles as well, such as leg lifts and perhaps some weight training. But you will see results if you keep up the running! You won't preferentially lose leg fat, but it will come off from all over your body, and that will, eventually, make your legs look more firm, along with the rest of you!

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!

I guess you need to do new and more exercises and not just running. You need to lift your legs and other exercises. At the same time you have to eat less and probably you can lose some weight. Good luck

It sounds like you have been on isotonic exercises (e.g. jogging, skipping, swimming, etc) lately. These exercises generally improve cardiovascular health which is good. Since, you want to work on the thighs, i recommend after doing a cardio, you do some isometric (e.g bodybuilding) exercises working on the area. You will get this from a gym with possibly assistance from a trainer. The exercises will help you define the thigh. It will burn fat there and increase thigh muscle size.

When boredom, depression, as well as stress causes cravings, find a nonfood way in order to meet them such as enjoying a walk, calling a friend, going for a bath, reading a book, or perhaps doing some yoga.

Working out in the local gym does wonders for me! There's a little bit of everything from developing a finer booty to firming up your leg muscles:)
