It depends on the age of your mac. The most recent series of macs have been built with Intel processors, built on the x86 architecture (the same as PC's), and so they are compatible with Windows. Mac has gone even further, and introduced software called bootcamp that will help you install Windows on your mac.

Please see the link below for more information, and to download the software.

If the Mac has an Intel chipset (like the new Macbook Pros), and you have bootcamp installed, then yes, you can install Windows XP on a Mac.

The new Core Duo Mac minis are cool candidates for small sleek Windows XP machines.

The other great way of running XP on a Mac is to use Parallels. Macs using the Intel chipsets run the XP instance very near full speed. ( http://www.parallels.com/ )

NO to both

There is software you can get called VMWare that you can install on a Windows or Mac machine, then install other operating systems on top of it.

It works as an interface between the individual operating systems and the computer itself.

But this is normally only used on servers, not individual machines.

in case you do no longer very own an apple computing device setting up mac osx isn't worry-free. I even have never have been given it to artwork. OSX is a UNIX os yet i think of that there are a number of compatibility themes if no longer put in on specific motherboards and different apple aspects. while apple began to apply intel processors human beings began to test. in case you don't comprehend very plenty approximately your kit- i.e. the thank you to jot down a driver- than i do no longer think of OSX on a private computing device or computer computer is a threat. stable success!

If you have one of these new Macintosh that are based on Intel Architecture it is possible.

To do that you will need to get the bootcamp software that macintosh recently developed for doing this.
