First of all, Bless the child that is sick. But to help with the costs you can put cans up all over and on them put a picture of the child and an explanation about her being sick and what the money is to be used for. you can also go to your local bank and open a account for her and then put the word out people can make donations at this bank. Get your Church involved. Bake sales, car washes. I hope this helps and good luck and God bless.

Melissa, first, I pray God will help heal the child. To get donations for treatment, family help, etc, contact your local American Cancer chapter. They are familiar with organizations that help with your kind of need. Of course as others have said, churches, the childs school, businesses the parents do business with, maybe put a jar with picture on the counter, also, in our town, the banks are very helpful. Contac the local newspaper, let them do a story on the child and families needs.
Good luck.

in my town they made braclets like the livestrong ones and sold them for like 4 dollars. A lot of people bought them because they knew they were for a good cause. They set them up in different stores, the orthidontist, wallgreens, etc. I think it went really well. There are websites you can customize the braclets. I"m sorry to hear about this child, I hope they have a quick recovery. Good luck

you could put jars in local stores with a picture of the child, and a brief version of why you are collecting donations. these seem to work really well.

start with some help from friends, try a garage sales, go around the neighbourhood. you could also patner up with AOL and send an email, they'll donate some money for every person that sends the email. there you go.

You can't raise donations for one child. You would have to go through a program and raise funds for leukemia research. I think that it would be rude to raise funds for just one child. What about every other kid that has leukemia?
