i can help.. if you can answer a few questions about your hair first...are your ends still black? what is your natural color? it is always better to accomplish you color goal in a salon... here is what i would tell your stylist.. if you have black still on your ends.. tell your stylist to soap cap your ends.. and then use a demi-color to deposit.. to get your color you are trying to acheive.. (if you can't tell, i'm a stylist) you will have to use conditioning treatments on your hair and color shampoo to help keep your color fresh and in good condition.. good luck i hope this helps.. but, never attempt on your own!!! it's like playing with fire! i'd like to know how it turns out. :)

Now Hun, I'm no "Expert" on this, but I've have had a similar problem, years ago.. And what I did, was I bought two bottles of the color I needed, to change too. Because, your hair is so dark, I would go with three bottles of the color your going for.. And do them, like 3-4 hours apart, in the same day, and I'll just bet you'll see results the same day... Good-Luck to you..

There are new products from L'Oreal Feria (box dye) called Hi-Lift for Brunettes, find them and pick your favorite shade, you won't be disappointed! If your hair is still jet black though, let it grow out, you'll love yourself in the end.

you can buy products not peroxicides or dyes rather to highlight naturally sun in products that naturally highlight your hair buy for brunettes to achieve the light brown red highlights This is the simplest way Or rather instead use a blonde sun in and blow dry your hair it will lighten you hair till you wash it

dye : first dye it blond , then right over it dye it a very , very , pretty color ( light brown for you ), and it should show up , if not..................

Gel : there is a very helpful type of gel that you put in your hair ( duh ) and it will take out the color of your dyes that have happened a while back ( realy all of them ) , just soak it in water , with the gel , or ...............................

gel : there is a gel called " golden sun lightening gel " this gel will turn your hair simpley lighter. ( black = brown , brown = light brown , light brown = blond , blond = platinum blond , platinum blond = nothing ( regular color ) ) .

hope i helped

black is very hard to deal with. You may have to wait until it grows out.
