Judging by the assistants in all the branches I've been into, it must be!
Is it where they get all the mayo from?

While your actual wording is a shade on the side of gross, you are quite correct, the employees do not look very nice at all and its one of the main reasons I never enter and eat the food in any of the fast food places....

Two factors influence this, in my experience and observation:

One, the environment of McD's is saturated in fat and other unhealthy food by products. Secondly, McD's hires from the youngest set of adults, among whom are adolescents suffering from acne.

To be fair to McD's (and I am no fan of theirs, au contraire, one of my heros is Bové, the French farmer who protested McD's in France by dumping a truckload of cattle manure in front of the fast food joint's doors), no the pus and grease is not part of the mayo, but the mayo probably doesn't help the acne any, what do YOU think?

Also, kudos to McDonald's for bringing in salads and keeping oj on the menu. Now, if they only had diet cokes and diet decaf drinks, and added more fiber in some of the products, I think that would be cool. They should also have a program to recycle french fry oil as a bio-fuel. This alone would keep me coming, despite the meat market and plastic kitsch.

If health food places were to add a kiddy play place in MY area, I would forsake McDonalds until they got the biofuel project going, and did more to reduce litter, maybe by adding dishwashable ware and a dishwashing assembly to their restaurant. This would of course mean moving away from fast food a bit.

Disclaimer: I worked at McD's when I was a teenager. And yes, I had an acne problem. No, I did not spit in the food or squeeze my zits into any product.

Realisticly: It's all about who wants to work & for how much. Industry is booming & most poeple take the higher paying jobs. Providing they can pass drug screenings, which is coming now to almost everywhere a person applies. MacDonalds don't pay top wages for starters. Subsiquently they have to take what they can get. If you are going there to find chicks? I would say try Hooters instead.

LOL
Euww!

Guess it's symptomatic of being a teenager, which is the main group from which MacDonald's employs.

Try reading 'Fast Food Nation' if you really want the dirt (literally in most cases) on Maccy D's. I've not eaten there since...

Im sure that you are right about the mayo and I also heard from a former employee that if you have five stars on your name tag it means that you are a general.

All fast food places have that problem with teens and the oils and greases don't help matters
