a ghost in the desert = desire in deception, desire you can never get
wrote things in the sky = reminder, alert
fell from a cliff = warning
couldn't save him = helpless conscience.
Basically, you are seeking for some sort of desire in your life, but this may be a deception to you in reality. You probably got disappointed very much when you experience things that you don't or can't achieve or get in your hands. You feel so helpless and that is why you projected those images and vent this out in dreams

Possibly it is the end of a friendship or relationship of some sort in your future. Most of the times dreams will not mean anything unless you are looking in to the future or seeking a path. I would first meditate, examine your life, then see if your dream has any connection to whats going on in your life. Most of my dreams are useless, but I recall falling off a bridge in a dream with one of my best friends when I was younger, now I never see him and we don't keep in touch. The dream was pretty prophetic.

Why not go to the dream interpretation forum? I didn't know about it before, when I got spooky dreams, and ppl at yahoo answers made fun of me cos I asked a question about my dreams,
but you know what? one after another, things happened and my life is now upside down. Which might not be bad, but major life changing things happened in the week after my dreams, things i probably hadno control over.

It is trying to tell you that there is nothing to save. Everything and everyone are perfect just the way that God created them. So there is nothing that needs to be fixed.

I would say loosely that you are chasing after an impossible quest taht you are being tols big tales adn that the person responsible for this is soon going to go away adn thers nothing you can do that would change that
