I have a f*** buddy we are both single and dont want the hassel that goes with a relationship. I have been very badly hurt and let down in the past so this suits me so far we have been seeing each other for nearly two years. The problem is people look down on me for it but at 48 years old and a buddy of 42 I dont see the harm. Its quite flattering actually not just a buddy but a toyboy!!!

No it's not wrong. We live in the 21st Century and not in the middle ages. And all the more respect to you for being in your late 40's and having the confidence to go out there and f***!

As for people looking down on you, there are jealous! Trust me, they want to have some of what you're having.

XOPINKROSE you're so wrong and also jealous. Maybe you're not getting any which is why you're hating.

Wow, some of these responses are pretty harsh and judgemental!
You ask whether it is "wrong" to have a f*** buddy. I don't know if it's wrong or right, although people will certainly have their opinions and judgements as you can see from all the responses here.
I have had f*** buddies in the past, as well as serious relationships and a marraige of 13 years. I believe that we go through different stages in our lives and need different things at different times. You say that you've been hurt in the past, so a f*** buddy relationship suits you now. Fair enough, but don't let past hurt limit your life in the present moment. The past is the past. You can do what you like, just be true to yourself, and take no heed of other peoples' judgements.

no its not wrong as long as both parties understand the ropes. Often in situations like that one starts to develop stronger feelings at which point the relationship should probably end. But if both are adults, single and consenting there really should be nothing wrong with it.

If perception is what your concerned about just do not talk about your buddy. I mean if you are both happy with the way things are who cares what others think. Really in the end its your choice. Of course a raving christian might tell you about the brimstone and fire you would bring down upon yourself go forth and sin no more.

An evolutionist would say, your animals doing what animals do, its survival of the fittest out there.

A theorist following the needs model would say go for it, its one of the top 3 needs food, shelter and sex. YAY

So keep on riding your toyboy as long as you like and tell other people you are celibate and happy with it. Why do you need to tell them what you are doing in bed anyways?

Hi

Sometimes you may feelt hat it wont be hurting anyone, with having no strings attatched, but more often than not, someone gets deeper feeligns for the other one and may want a relationship from it later on. The other person may then reject the other person, causing feelings of hurt adn if you have been hurt before, this is going to keep you in the same frame of mind that you are in now.Make any sense?

However, i believe in theory that if you both are hapy with the arrangement, dont look down on yourself, enjoy it for what it is! You are a strong independant woman and why shouldnt you be having fun?

Good luck adn I hope you find what you are looking for.

To be honest, i used to have one or two when i was in my teens, but i am not sure that it is necessarily wrong to have one when you are middle aged either, just that people probably think that one would be a little more secure than that, later in life. But if you're both happy then go for it i suppose.

The only caution i would give is to make sure that neither of you has any mis conceptions about the arrangements, and ends up getting hurt.

There's no problem with having a f*** buddy at all. The only problem is when your shagging pal has many other shagging pals then things can get crowded. Thumbs up for your toyboy as long as you don't get bad feelings if he gets a girlfriend. You old enough you don't have to ask what people think. You can do what you like.

The fact that you're asking this question means that you're not sure yourself if it's a good idea.

Sounds like you should examine your motivations and your feelings about relationships. Is it really true that you don't want the hassle of a relationship? Good ones are more fun than work. Or is it that a part of you thinks that a good relationship is unattainable?

GO HEAD WOMAN! I LOVE these types of relationships and until earlier this year I have been have f*** buddies for the past 7 years. TO hell with whoever have a problem with them as long as you and your buddy have no problem with it. These relationships eliminate the bull most relationships go through. As always, use protection and enjoy! enjoy! enjoy!
