Christianity, I think suppresses rational inquiry. My mother would explain everything away with, ''it's a miracle''. --without questioning. I think any rational thinker would come to the conclusion that G-d would not come to earth as a human being.
My family could not accept my conversion to Judaism, as I had left the only true religion (Christianity) because, ''everyone knows it is the only true religion''-no reason-just, it is.
I do feel the vast majority of Christians do not question. Living in a Christian dominated society, they just accept, as it is what society expects from them, so they are included in the mainstream of life.

The Holy Trinity is the mystery of our faith:God can understand man ;man cannot understand God.Suppress rational enquiry ?Abdul Rehman of Afghanistan discovered the Truth and was condemned to death. That was his quest for truth.Does that sound familiar?

religious dogma of any sort creates a well-known, this is a 0 element in someone's techniques. think of concern case in point that's an somewhat elementary well-known, think of that the guy is interior a bubble and the bubble is termed concern with all of its little emotions. interior of that bubble the guy filters all of their exterior experience so in one experience all senses come by way of concern so no longer something gets in and not something gets out. religious dogma is a sort of techniques washing a lot an identical because of the fact the terror description above, this is a clear out of life experience the place life's reports struggle by way of a judgement or clear out. Religions are only sign posts yet maximum people finally end up praying and worshipping the sign placed up particularly than following it and looking out the top of their very own experience.

Most religions do. That's why it's so important to study the Holy Scriptures for yourself, allowing the scriptures to interpret themselves instead of a religious group who's trying to make the scriptures fit their ideology.
To that end, I was very pleased by a book I read recently entitled, "What Does the Bible Really Teach?" It's clear, concise scriptural answers to many people's Bible questions are amazingly simple while still able to satisfy the most intellectual person. I highly recommend it.

All religion suppresses rational inquiry and has nothing to do with a search for truth. Truth has to be denied to accept religious precepts.

Earth was a ball of boiling rock 4 billion years ago-what exist now was created thru a natural process or imagined by men.99.9% of the species that have existed are now extinct. So the creative force created a species that could create-and so we did. Lies and truths are in the minds of the beholders.Seven billion realities are in seven billion minds. What is truth to some may not be for others. As for other species I belive their realities are not as complex as ours.

I think Hasidic orthodox Judaism is the most suppressive of all the religions and this is due to the application of the Babylonion Talmud.

I'm sorry if this offends anyone but all religion is a limitation. Any time you are told something is true and you believe it you close off a part of your consciousness to further rational inquiry.

They all do. Any religion involves accepting certain things as unknown. That's where the concept of God comes from, he's the personification of all that we don't know about the universe. By accepting these things as unknown we give up the important task of discovering the truth.
