Our cat used to sleep on the bed but now he sleeps under the quilt or under a chair even on top of the computer keyboard and will stay there for ages. He also constantly washes himself. He appears to run everywhere rather than walk. He is eating ok and he will talk to us but he is not the same. Every evening when I come home from work, he is upstairs until my husband comes home then he comes down, eats and lays on his legs which is the only thing he used to do. For a long time now, a big cat comes in to the house and eats his food, he gets in through the cat flap although its magnetic and he hasnt got a magnet which is a bit baffling as we can't open the cat flap from the outside, although our cat has been stressed at times, he has suddently become very strange, could this be the reason.

You don't say how long this has been going on. He may yet get back to feeling normal. It sounds like something traumatic happened while you were gone. This other cat may have had something to do with it or it could have been a thunderstorm, most any thing that shook him up when he was alone. Maybe he is just punishing you. They do pout. Good luck, I hope he gets over it. Changes in behavior can also indicate a health problem so if your concerns continue, a vet check may be in order.

Kittens of that age favor consistent human stimulation. i won't be able to trust you left her on her personal for therefore long. How might want to you've common if she had grow to be sick - kittens can grow to be sick interior of an rather little while. What if she had disillusioned her water bowl and had not something to drink. I anticipate what has befell is that you've again residing house after leaving her for therefore long and characteristic tried to over catch up on what you've done by figuring out on her up and cuddling her and he or she doesn't favor it. I have considered this behaviour in cats who have not had the companionship of their siblings and they could grow to be very aggressive. i might want to represent that you decrease backtrack and he or she will be able to likely come to you for affection. Play consisting of her utilizing rod toys, by no potential palms. Throw down treats even as she is being solid and by no potential shout or punish her as this may toughen the interest searching for behaviour she is doing on the prompt. you may also attempt putting a number of your clothing in her mattress to develop the scent bond between you. you may also attempt Feliway plug in diffusers which deliver out a man made cat pheromone it really is calming to cats.

have a water bottle handy and squirt the big cat every time it comes into the house.... that will eventually prevent him from coming around. your cat is probably feeling threatened by the other cat and needs some reassurance that it is his territory. Make him feel safe and he will be fine.
