From my experience it isn't a direct voice, its more like perfect answers, or situations that have been an answer or a direction to something that couldn't possibly be answered by anyone or anything else. It is also a gut feeling, a certain feeling within, knowing that that particular thing is the case, be it an answer, or simply the knowledge that He exists and is present. Sometimes it is nice to know God is present even if u dont need answers or help. The same goes for friends; having friends around whether we're in need or not is such a great support just knowing they're there to share ur life with them.
I know God has a great sense of humour, and have enjoyed many a laugh.
I definately know God isn't a booming voice that will threaten you with his wrath if u put a foot wrong. I tend to see Him as a father figure, caring, loving, and willing to listen and give advice when asked. Plus, dads love to hang out and have a laugh as well.

A few years ago I was struggling to understand the idea of our oneness with God. It just did not make any sense to me. Before bed one evening I asked in a meditation if I could have some assistance in understanding this.
I woke up at 4am with the following running through my mind.
I am the ocean, you are the raindrops. We are the same. You raindrops, because of your similar size and location, see yourselves as separate, as units, as individuals. This perception of your selves has been your only reality since you were born in the clouds. You have no other perspective of your selves. As you fall through your short lives here, you see the ocean far below. On a certain level you understand that it and you are one and the same. You envy its magnificence. The thought comes,” I am water too, am I not also part of this magnificence?” Then you realize that you are but an insignificant raindrop. You can only look at that distant ocean in awe. The ocean with its timeless knowledge sees you quite differently. It sees you for what you really are. Its most precious children, bravely returning home to share the experience that ocean as a whole could never have experienced. The ocean has nothing but love for you. Because it understands that it is you, and that you are it. It knows only truth. Until the moment you reunite you can only speculate. The ocean's love for you is unconditional. It holds no foolish thought of punishing you for not falling quite right. It only waits with great patience for your homecoming.
The tiny collisions you had with the other drops on the way down, at the time seemed so significant. Often you feared that if you mingled with them too long you might get to close and in the process even lose your identity. All this because you understood your true identity not! You are ocean, you always were ocean, you always will be ocean. How you currently perceive yourself raindrop, snow flake, puddle, stream, River, or lake matters not. This is all illusion, only perception. You are ocean, you are spirit. You and I are one; we are the All That Is!
I'm not trying to convince you or anyone else that God was talking to me, but it sure got my attention.
Love and blessings Don

You see, the thing is that when people hear that God talks to others they always feel that there is a big change in atmosphere and the breeze is heavy and time stops. Lol
It doesn't happen like that really. God has spoken to me on many an occasion and to me it felt most like i was talking to myself.
Once i was at this party and things were going okay. I had gotten into a confrontation with someone over something that i was not guilty of doing.
So when the party started i sat there, associating with the people and then just like that i heard ' you need to get out of here as soon as possible' I thought was the person siting next to me so i look but there was no one there. So i heard the voice again and this time it said 'get up and leave he is going to try to embarrass you'. Stupid me remain siting there. The next thing i know i get into this big argument with this guy and it almost came to blows because i started to cry and i got real angry. They had to drag me out of the place. I was ready to fight him.
I couldn't understand it for a while. It had to be God if it wasn't him it was my guardian angel.
The only thing is though it sounded like me.
So the little things that just pop into our heads or the times that we just hear something in a room and no one else is in there with us it may very well be God.

No man can directly hear the Voice of God, the Inaccessible.
Man can only hear Him through His Divine Messengers. St. Paul heard Him through Christ, Boddhisattva Ananda through Buddha, Imam Ali through Muhammad...
Various people who falsely claim direct contact with God may cheat the masses for some short periods of time, and they quickly fall into oblivion.
To distinguish the true Messengers of God with the false claimers, we can base on divine prophecies, the divine plans in the Holy Books and the universal influence through many centuries...

God talks us in a very different way!
If someone wish to hear a voice then either he/she is a fool or a prophet??
God talks us and say some thing, each time, when we see his unique creations arround every where.
Blessing to all.

Do you really think there is a God? Take a look around you. Does this world look like it's in God's hands? If there is a God maybe he should turn on his hearing aid.

The presents of the spirit show up in yet differently in diverse human beings and are given as God sees in great condition. Tears are certainly one of my presents so which you will possibly desire to assert my rain flows via my eyes. i could be everywhere, any time, on my own, with individuals, examine something, see something, pay attention something and that i visit experience Him in my midst. on occasion I experience the spirit struggle via me to offer a message and on occasion I experience it struggle via somebody else for me to receive a message. i recognize I even have felt it struggle via my dentist the day we suggested some issues and he sang some bars to me, "we've basically only began to stay". extremely I felt the affection of God circulate via him and it moved me deeply. For me to experience God this way leaves me in awe and that i'm very grateful for it. i'm going to no longer experience God contained in the comparable way as you, yet while that's what enlivens your appreciation for His Goodness then that's the present which you're meant to have and no one can ever take that away.

In my spirit he talks to me- he nuges me to do things in dreams and in real life... When ever you think I should.... (insert a good deed here) Thaat is him telling you but he whispers, and uses a still small voice It is the world who drowns out the voice we often ignore...
Good things without any reward for doing them is God using those who are open to that feeling and when we help others...\God helps us- You know there is one thing I love to think about...
WE can NEVER out give GOD for when we give, we recieve ten fold back!

Have you ever had a tiny voice or strong feeling from in side of you telling you to do something? or guide you in decisions, That's the gift of the holy ghost. When this happens to me I try my hardest to do and make the right choices.

Not in a literal sense. Only through the Bible does God talk to people today. God talked to people before our era but he doesnt any longer today except of course thru the bible. The bible is complete.
