Are you in a desk job now or are you a driver? If so you're not as active anymore and I'm afraid that there is only one answer to that. Exercise!! little things will make a big difference, like taking the stairs, getting off the bus a stop early and walking, going for a walk on your lunch and going to the gym after work. You'll probably find that you are having loads of hidden calories that you didn't have before, like tea and biscuits at 11, a few take out coffees, buying take out sandwiches. they all can add up to a massive amount of calories that you previously weren't eating. You just got to start being careful!! btw sit up will tone the abdomen muscle, but will not remove fat from the area. However, sit ups may give the illusion that you have lost fat from the tummy by tightening the muscle underneath.

Don't eat after 8, you gain the most weight when you eat and go to bed. Eat a little often: eat 6 meals, healthy, and light throughout the day, so your body can naturally burn the fat off as it comes. Sit ups only help if you do them right, but even walking can help improve tone in the waist and belly.

do lots of sit ups.....there are a ton of different forms you can use, that target different areas of you stomach
1. lay down on your back and lift both feet into the air to about 6 inches off the ground and hold for as long as possible, do as many as you feel you need to
2. regular crunch
3. crunch to the side, instead of going towards you knees try focusing on going towards you right or left hip
4. lay on you stomach and lift both arms and leg for as long as possible and do as many times as needed, this is called the Superman for obvious reasons
