I just started exercising 3/week for the past two months. The workouts are only moderate, but they are following a long peiod of couch potatoism. I am not overweight, just out of shape.

Strenuous exercise will definately cause women to skip periods or even miss them completely, but this is usually in very athletic women. It could be the stress your body is experiencing since you were pretty out of shape. Good luck. Don't worry too much about it. Keep up the good work, Yes, exercise may also give you a lighter period and less cramps too. Exercise really affects hormone levels. If you become too irregular see the doc.
