There are many reasons why some people don't take showers. Some people simply don't feel like it's necessary to shower often, they just aren't very hygienic. Some people are dealing with mental illnesses (such as depression) that cause problems like them not being able to bring themselves to do things they would normally do and little things like taking a shower can be a major challenge for them. They just don't have the motivation, they're in a lot of pain and can't think about much else or just don't care about hygiene while they're very ill. Some people have physical problems and have a hard enough time getting through the day and just don't have energy left or are in too much physical pain to take a shower. Some people don't have the time to shower even though they wish to. It's for example not easy to be alone looking after a couple of toddlers all day every day. Not many opportunities to take care of personal hygiene then. And I suppose some people are just lazy.
I hope that answers your question.

the frequent showering is a very modern cultural norm. while many people are trained to do so in childhood many are not. some people feel like their wasting time and would rather do other things.
much like washing hands after going to the bathroom a lot of times it depends on if anyone is around to see and notice.
some people are misers and don't want to use the water.
and some people just hate getting wet.

I have no idea, but I work with people that smell so bad it's like they bathe once a month & never wipe their butts after going to the bathroom.

an extreme amount of laziness
lack of a home to shower in
an aversion to cleanliness, hippy, for example
fear of water or soap or both
(pick any one, but I'm going with the first)

well for one thing, sometimes a person could be depressed and not realize it. some people are just not taught that cleanliness is very important. but u got to think, don't these people smell themselves. but for the most part i think its just a bad form of laziness !!!!!!!!!!! Good luck to u being around someone who doesn't wash !!!!!!!!! Oh my God, what are they thinking

When I was severely depressed recently, I could not manage to even get myself out of bed much less clean myself. Plus it's really cold outside and to get naked hurts. I am better now and I am clean and fresh. Thanks for asking.
