What they are saying is that they will only cover you on the car listed on the policy. In most cases, insurance will cover you up to your policy limits on anything you drive as temporary transportation. For example, it I were to borrow a friends pick up truck (or rent a vehicle) to get some lumber, and I were to hit someone, my insurance company would cover me. It would be a vehicle that I have only have temporary use of.

Because of your age, they will not offer this to you! They are not willing to take the risk of you driving a more powerful car, or a car that you are not familiar with.

Probably fear that you're inexperienced and your a high accident risk. Some companies have a policy not to insure anyone under 25.
