well, a sex surrogate is a member of a sex therapy team who will engage in intimate physical and often sexual relations with a client. They help people who are having trouble sexually... for example people who lack sexual confidence. They assist those experiencing problems and in doing so can help the person regain an active and healthy sex life. Do you ever watch Boston Legal? On that show there is a character that saw a sex therapist/sex surrogate to help him gain confidence. He had asperger syndrome and OCD (which is kind of like autism) and if you know anything about that, it would be extremely difficult for this person to have a sexual relationship. The therapist's job is to make him feel confortable with being intimate with a woman.
