Canary eggs hatch from 13-14days after the hen starts sitting on them. Sometimes a hen wont start sitting in earnest until all the eggs are laid. This is a good thing, as it keeps the chicks the same age. If they hatch one day at a time the youngest will not be able to compete with the larger chicks and will probably starve. The best way to prevent this is to remove the eggs as they are laid, replacing them with a fake egg. Then after the last egg is laid, put them all back. The chicks wont develop until they are incubated. Most large pet shops carry the fake eggs. I used to keep the real eggs in a cup full of bird seed to cradle them. Just dont drop them! Good luck.

Not quite sure for canaries, but I do know that birds generally have a gestation period between 12~30 days. Also, make sure not to touch the eggs and the young once they are born until at least the young are 3 weeks old. Remove eggs that haven't hatched after at least 10 days after the first egg has hatched. This way you don't accidently throw away a baby bird (poor bird)

The canary chick hatches without any assistance from you or the parents. The little chick enters the world blind and naked, adorned by only a few wisps of down. The parents provide all care for the youn
