Ladies, if you see an attractive guy who has looked at you, somewhere in public (waiting for a train or bus as an example), what sort of things would you do to indicate possible interest?
Move closer, smile, etc.

Walk up and ask a question and grab your forearm at the same time. Not just eye contact but actual contact.

Go up to him and introduce yourself.
In a world where you never know what someone is really thinking it never hurts to go on up and say, "Hi".
Otherwise they guy may just not know. He may feel the following:
"Is she looking my way?"
"Does she have something in her eye?"
"Is she on the phone (hidden behind her ear - happened to me) and listening to her significant other tell her sweet nothings?"
In a world where people can get into serious trouble for mistaken signals, don't be coy. Let him know.
If he doesn't like assertive women (and by doing so you've shown you are), you'll know a lot right then and there.

Watch him, try to figure out what kind of personality he has, and if he catches you smile, see what he does then. Also, a woman who likes you will never touch you or get too close. She's busy thinking about how not to be awkward!

no, just kidding.
When I see an attractive guy I try to make eye contact without being obvious to those around me. I try to smile and do everything I can to make myself look attractive.
Unfortunately, I'm one of those people who is 'beautiful' but not 'attractive' so I usually get discouraged after not catching anyones attention. lol

Some people are just friendly, and you should not interpret their speaking to you as a deeper interest. Only after speaking with them a while will you see if they might have an interest. It will become clear by what they do and you will feel it inside of you, with confidence.

Far too dangerous to indicate interest to a stranger these days though.
Why don't you stick to guys you know, or meet via your existing contacts?

I would smile and walk by him so he could smell my perfume. Then make sure he got a good eyefull of my cleavage and sexy heels. Thats usually all it takes for me to get a phone #.
