I have the same problem because at that age they have everything or don't want you to waste their money on them etc etc etc. Time costs nothing and will mean everything to her so spend quality time with her. You must know what she likes whether it be a trip to the garden centre to buy some plants or helping her to do some DIY round the house or even arranging a small gathering of family and friends as a surprise. Whatever the age, a woman likes to feel special but it doesn't have to cost the earth!

You can gather old photos and things from her life and make her up are really nice photo album of her life or just photos of you and her and your life together - family is whats important in people's lives celebrate this! Hope you and your mother have a wonderful Christmas

Have you had your picture taken recently? Give her a nice picture in a beautiful frame. A book by her favorite author. A pretty blouse or dress in her favorite color. How about making a scrapbook with pictures of your life....or hers?

We get my Grandma nice sterling silver jewelry and really warm pajamas, also gardening supplies, like gift cards to flower catalogs. Another thought would be gift certificates to places that she likes to go regularly.
Also most women love flowers and chocolate!

Buy her a Bible she would love it. You can also get her some candies. Or ask your aunt, dad they will tell you what she used to like when she was young. Get it rolling.
