You may have answered your own question. I am only suggesting as I am not a qualified GP or anything like it but you could try bicarbonate of soda. It has a wonderful neutralising effect (I do have a science degree). Even if it doesn't help, I used to drink it with a little squash as it is quite good fun! You could ask at your pharmasist. Most of them are really helpful and only too pleased to offer advice. You could try your GP if the pain persists as it might be something more serious in which case you should get an opinion pronto. Or you could try NHS Direct. They were very helpful to me personally but you do have to answer a few questions although that is a lesser of two evils if you have a problem which clearly affects your mobility. I wish you well and recommend getting qualified advice just in case.

Aloe juice cured my unexplained stomach pain. All the treatments and good pills the doc gave me did nothing. Aloe juice is at grocery stores or vitamin shops. Drinking a cola helped me a couple times in the past too, good luck.

It does indeed sound like you could be constipated. Try rubbing around the area in a circular motion and eat plenty of fibre.

on the left there is only the intestine and beginning of anal canal. ginger and peppermint is very good for wind, they have been using it in hospitals for years. try peppermint cordial or make a tea infusion with fresh ginger and mint. cut down on fibre for 48hrs to slow the bowel down, giving your intestines chance to expel this wind.

If the pain moves over the right hand side, contact your doctor straight away as it could be appendicitis.
