Its been a long hard battle, that is still going. It has claimed thousands of innocent lives and cost billions. Is it worth it for what the Iraqi's did to America on 9/11?

Yes. It is unlikely that the present Iraqi government will, at least for in the near future, commit or support any terrorist actions against the United States or other countries.

The issue isn't, nor was it ever whether or not Iraq had any responsibility for the 9/11 attacks. The issue has always been worldwide terrorism in general. The former government of Iraq supported terrorists worldwide and invaded both Iran and Kuwait.

The present action in Iraq is just one part of the worldwide War on Terror...it is not the "Iraq War." Calling it that would be akin to calling World War II the "War to Liberate Belgium." In the same sense, nobody ever accused Japan of attacking the British Isles during WWII. Since they didn't, why did the British declare war on Japan? One needs to look at the entire picture.

For the most part, the American and allied military offensive actions are over in Iraq. The mass murders and killings are being committed by terrorists against innocent Iraqis...those victims being predominantly Muslim Iraqis.

Problem: the Iraqi's didn't do anything to America on 9/11. That was down to an islamic fundamentalist terrorist group, Al-qaeda.

This does beg the question, what exactly is America doing in Iraq? Whoever sent the American forces in is responsible for the bloodbath which is now happening.

No, They never did commit any terrorist attrocities against America, but we damn well stopped the anahilation of the entire Kurd Nation... and other acts of genocide.

A much more realistic objective. 90% of the Iraqi people are glad we are there... our liberal media is focusing on that 10% that is causing all the problems.

NOW they say they had nthing to do with it but I do have somewhere burned to a CD frmo al-jazeera BIN LADEN originaly right after it happened bragging that he did it. now the story has changed and they aren't to blame.
We had 2 option go in when we did and try to help them then or wait 5 years and after way more **** happened go in and then if we had waited all you people would be saying well why didnt we go sooner.
also as soon as the us starts trying to talk about removing the troops because it is getting better things turn around and go horribly shitty. so we cant leave. my husband is a wounded iraq vet and our roommate is currently in iraq in the "triangle of death" and im an iraq vet as well. if you seen things from day one and see them now there has ben alot of progress but of course they arent going to show you that on the news. if you want some real videos and pictures of what is going on most of the time there let me know. i have several showing the good things and the bad.

Good question. I think the sarcasm was lost on many people though. For what it is worth the world is now a more dangerous place since Iraq was unlawfully invaded. But if the Yanks didn't drive around in massive gas-gussling ugly cars then Bush wouldn't have had to go for the oil fields of Iraq.

Iraqis were not involved in 9/11.
However, we have established a front in the middle east to handle any problems coming out of that area.

No Iraq had nothing to do with the 9/11 attacks. Not only did they have nothing to do with it, we have also used man power that could have been used to pursue the person/persons responsible for 9/11. If all the troops who were sent to Iraq was stomping down in Afganistan changes are we could have had him already. Instead of giving him time to build more terror cells.

hmm...Iraqi's committed 9/11? omg...I've been in the dark, I need a beer now. How can we live with ourselves now that we leveled Afghanistan wrongly.
Hey Saddam was no different than Hitler save one thing, Hitler had balls. Im not glamourizing him, just saying at least he "thought" there was something to fight for.

He really has not done anything. the terrorists will attack us any time they please. so far they have not pleased again as they have a plan to attack others first. it is not our turn again yet.
the money is better spent on this country and peace efforts.
Sorry, but the truth hurts.
