Did you get a one year rabies vaccine for your canine or a 3 12 months? No longer that it issues, your dog will have to be fine and so must your aunt. It can be particularly easy sufficient to find out though, you could name your vet and ask. Nevertheless the biting thing is certainly no longer desirable and that needs to be handled instantly. What makes you believe there is a likelihood that your canine has rabies? Has it been bitten via a rabid animal comparable to a raccoon, skunk, etc.?

It does depend on you state laws or local county laws so you should check with your vet or local shelter. Most states have gone to a 3 yr protocol, but where I live, they still require it every year.
The duration of immunity studies show that the rabies vaccine is good for at least 7 yrs, but the laws have not caught up with science yet. Here's a couple of links on the duration of immunity

Here in VA, it is every 3 years. I know WV used to be every 2 years. So, it depends on where you live.
