What is the correct quote and who coined it?

Something about "all it takes for evil to triumph is for good men to stand by and do nothing about it". I don't think those were the exact words but close.

look at this page - there are heaps of versions and it discusses the quote/misquoting that happens on the net.....

There are so many versions of that quote to suggest that yours is near enough. It is generally attributed to Edmund Burke, an 18 th century British statesman.
