Ideal? That word is the last thing you want to impress on yourself or your daughter. There are some many constraints in life and in weight like height and genetics. Don't be one for your daughter's growth mentally and physically. As long as she is happy and healthy and she has positive images of weight then all is "ideal"

Weight? Honey! You should not be worried about weight with a 7 year old. When was the last time she went to the doctor? Until the doctor tells you she's over or under weight then ok. If she's like over 150 then ok, and if she's under 50 then yeah, take her to the doctor. If all she eats is junk food stop letting her eat fries and take her to a nutritionist! It's nothing to be ashamed of! Really. We have to take control of our kids and let them to some controlling also. as long as they're informed about the risks of being both fat and underweight!! GOOD LUCK!

Ask your child's doctor. And don't impress on her that weight is something she needs to worry about whether she is under or over weight. Help her be the best little girl she can be.

Ask her pediatrician or family doctor. Seriously. They will be able to tell you if her weight is a health concern or not.
