Thats the most stupid statistic in the world. Of course 70 % of all accidents happen 5 miles from home because it's most likely that is where your going to be the majority of the time when your driving. And i bet its been derived from an average of the amount of miles. We arent told where these stats come from are we so we dont even know how many people are asked. hmpf
You could have an accident on your way to moving 10 miles away ... too much of a risk i think.

weather u go 5 miles or 10 miles doesent makes difference because as u said 5 miles, i think when come from 10 miles at some point of time u r 5 miles away then the problem is same. so its doesnt make any diffence what u have do, as u know the reality of 70% u should more concosious and careful on road.

because moving 10 miles away means moving house which would, in effect be moving home. Therefore, you are just moving where the accidents could happen again rather than away from them.
