Coffee can freeze well but to save space buy coffee in metal cans and not plastic. Plastic will allow gas exchange and your coffee will not keep well outside the freezer. Metal cans kept in a cool dry area will keep your coffee fresh for years. Fewer and fewer companies use metal cans these days as plastic is cheaper. Chase & Sanborn still use metal cans and most find their coffee to be very good. Look into a pressure canner. If you have a garden you can make your own can goods. You can also can meats and fish. Flour does not store well for long periods of time. Most flour has a shelf life of a year or so. Keeping it in the freezer can extend this a little.
