ive crushed on a good guy friend for awhile and someone's found out and spreading rumors. he wont talk to me or look at me today in school. he mustve gotten some of the gossip. he only looked at me twice in language arts. once when someone called me the wrong name and they laughed playfully and again when i passed him moving around the room. he didnt look disgusted or anything but he was looking at me. i shouldve smiled...[:

Well at this point, i think you should let him know. I think he might be interested, because he acts shy or timid and i guess is a little embarrassed because he probably feels that same way you do.

I don't see a question in there but you're probably wondering what to do next. The best thing you can do in a situation like this is not to act awkward or different. Be happy and yourself, how you usually are toward him. Don't avoid him but I would address the gossip to him directly and make light of it. Everything will blow over and he will either step forward and ask you out or you will still be able to stay good friends.
I think he is definitely embarrassed but that doesn't mean he doesn't like you back.

Sounds like he doesnt like you back and is embarresed about the people giving him a hard time. Kind of like the Capt of the football team going out with someone on the chess team. And your probly a big girl, am I wrong. Nothing wrong with that at all but it is like the old say, how are fat girls and mopeds alike, they are both fun to ride until your friends find out.

I think that you may have to chat with him, send him a note asking to meet up with him and then ask him if you have done something to upset him. Leave it up to him to say what the problem is, don't mention that you have a crush on him. Tell him that you hope that the two of you can and still are friends and then leave the ball in his court.

i would go up to him and tell him how you feel. that way he will know what is true and what isnt. then you will find out how he really feels. its always better to have the truth out in the open
