This is pretty strange or odd how it worked out this way. Even if you are not religious you should read this.

Which chapter is in the center of the Bible?

What is the center verse in the Bible?

Answer - Psalms 118:8

Does this verse say something significant about God's perfect will for our
lives?

The next time someone says they would like to find God's perfect will for their lives and that they want to be in the center of His will, just send them to the center of His Word!

Psalms 118:8 (NKJV) -- "It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man."

Now isn't that odd how this worked out (or was God in the center of it)?

For 'johnny cee's' enlightenment. The word 'odd' was used to attract the attention of those wo do not have faith in the Bible.

Totally agree with 'voodoobluesman' when he says
"1 God is guiding the hand of man to do this in that way"

Urm.. the NKJV Bible has 31,174 verses, only odd numbers can have a "centre". So there are actually two centre verses but 118:8 isn't in them.

The two centre verses are Psalms 103:1 & 2:

1- Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.

2 - Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits

I suppose they are significant verses but they kind of throw out your claim of how this "worked out".

Okay, why did I get a thumbs-down? Just cuz I pointed out that what this guy is saying isn't true? Then again, you're probably the type to blindly believe anything you read without looking for something to back it up anyway.

That's quite interesting. But you should remember that it was people who wrote the Bible. It's quite possible that this was a complete coincidence, there are several different versions of the Bible and it has been translated many times so this information might not be the same for every Bible. It could also have been done deliberately by someone so they could do exactly what you have done as a way to convice people that their religion is the right one.

A catholic monk put the chapters and verses in the Bible. Still that is very interesting though.

Fabulous question!! Of course, some people will say man plotted it like that to make it look divine or that it was a coincidence, but more fool them I say!!!

That is really interesting, but in reality God didn't write the bible, it is a collection of writings and adapted tales from older religions. These were put into place by many different people.

I'm pleased that this gives you extra confidence in your religion though and suppose it may show one of two things.

1 God is guiding the hand of man to do this in that way

or

2 It's amazing what things can be concocted out of sheer coincidence. (like the Bible Code etc...)

Thank-you for the info, but I don't see it as odd. Rather I see it as intelligent design. One more proof for the Creator.
