I think from what you've written already, your good at writing! Even to use the internet to get onto this yahoo site requires typing of passwords etc.. so don't despair!
If you do feel unconfidident, start from the beginning, buying childrens books to learn to write from as they aid you in a simple way, and as you progress, buy more challenging books to suit your need. And if you dont want to spash out on books, borrow from the library, or if you do need to buym sell them again on ebay but dont ruin the books too much!
If you dont want to buy childrens books that aid your writing, im sure there are classes in your area you could find... contact a local school, college, or councel and im sure they'l steer you in the right direction.
Or you could ask a friend or family member to give some time to help you?
Or find something to read, remember it, and write it down without looking, and then look at the mistakes, note your weaknesses, and repeat the process until you get better.

There are lots of web site to help you improve your English writing try a basic one first i find that if you put 101 after it or even primary education this will help i.e. English language 101 or primary English skill in a search engine this should take you to many sites good luck with this it cannot be easy being housebound also try asking carers or social services if there is any help available for you this is what they are there for. there must also be web sites for housebound people
You could also try using a word processing package i.e. word by Microsoft it will help with grammar and spelling if this is what you need.
