I know this question has been asked over and over again in here. But i need some answers.......... i need some very simple answers. The very first answer you can think of for this question but a serious one. And pls pls dont tell me to look up a bible or to serve God and others and all this usual one. Just take a moment ......... think deep and let me know.
There is more to this question than we all can think of.

To procreate.
That is the only answer.
There is no difference between your purpose and that of an amoeba when it comes to replication. The only reason we exist is to make more of our species.
That's a fact of life.
Edit to your second question:
Procreation is inherent throughout nature. Plants drop their seeds on the ground or let them blow on the wind. Those seeds take root and make more of their kind. Animal species procreate as an instinctual matter of biology. Humans are no different.
Biologically we have instincts, because we are mammals and therefore when we do produce offspring it satisfies our mission in life. Why do you think it is so hurtful and painful to lose a child or to have a child that is malformed? It is because as a species, we instinctively know that survival of our offspring is paramount to the survival of our species as a whole.
We carry on living through our children. When we have passed away, our genes are carried on and on. It is the only immortality we are guaranteed to know as individuals. You will see your own face in your children and grandchildren, and that will be a sign to you that you have accomplished your purpose in life successfully.
Hope I explained it well enough.

If I understand you right, your asking about the meaning of life. Well, I've thought about this question a fair bit. What I've decided is that the meaning of life is to live. This may sound like it's begging the question, but it really makes a lot of sense. Religions around the world all promise us some sort of continuation of our lives. Either through Karma, or our souls, or in a new bodily form in some sort of heaven, or whatever. This is how religion gives people meaning, through the hope that life is going to continue for us. Unfortunately, life has no meaning if there is no light at the end of the tunnel. There is temporary meaning while we live through whatever gives us happiness or causes us to flourish, but there is no true, lasting meaning for ourselves unless we continue to live. No one can know can know for sure if life will continue, and unless that is known, no one can know for sure why we are born. One thing is for sure however, everything hangs on the hope for life.
If I might suggest a different question that might have more solid answers, and help ease the burden of meaninglessness: why do you need meaning? And how can you be happy without it?

I didn't read the other answers. The urge to reproduce or sexual release in most creatures, whether you believe it is a God given thing, or whatever, that union creates birth. The maternal nature in most women to fend and raise their babies since they are a part of them ensures human growth and development. Mans desire to be in control and always asking questions, just as yours here makes the mind a never ending quest for growth whether we like it or not. Your next question should be, why then do we die?

to participate in the human experience....you have choices. Embrace life or trudge through it with complaints.
If you don't want the God explanation, try reading "The Power of Intention" by Dr wayne Dwyer. Probably in the library or get a used one cheap on Amazon.com. It gives another, very interesting view of what's going on.
Hope that helps.

To spread love but sorry to say that we are not fulfilling God's wish.
Think for a while why God created flowers? To spread beauty and fragrance in this world and a flower is playing it's role very beautifully. Isn't it?

The essence of your being is Unconditional love, your purpose (your duty) is simply to express "that" which you are. All things are but God expressing his vision of himself.

We're born because our parents did it.
Lol sorry couldn't help it. :P I don't know the reason...I don't think anyone does. I guess mainly because it's in our primal instincts to desire sex and child bearing.

to learn and evolve.. our task is to learn, to become god-like through knowledge. ...by knowledge we approach god, and then we can rest.. then we come back to teach and help others.....
