The Church was founded by the risen Christ, to overcome evil and lead all souls to heaven.
Outside the Church there can be no assurance of salvation ... for anyone.

Dear Midnight,
The first church was started in the book of Acts- and it was formed by the Holy Spirit (by God).
Hebrews 10:23-25 tells us that we should not forsake gathering because the purpose of gathering is to exhort and spur one another towards love and good deeds.
Acts 2:42- also tells us that believers gathered to study God's word together, to pray, to encourage one another. And the Bible also teaches that the Church is to fulfill God's mission of sharing His love with others.
So church is a place where believers come together to worship God, to hear God's Word, to encourage one another, to serve one another, and to share God's love with those who do not know it.
The church is not a physical building but it is the people. In fact in Acts they often didn't have places to meet and would move the fellowship from home to home. The word used for gathering was the people. This is how churches in many Asian countries are structured.

I don't know who started church, but i do know that when Jesus talked about church he was talking about our bodies, For our bodies are our temples
and we just live in these bodies until our spirit is really to leave them,
Then we can go home to where we belong and that's with Jesus
unless you don't believe then you go to the other place

Jesus christ himself started the first church on this earth
bcoz he wanted that ppl to believe in God and christianity

Father God started it when He told Moses to build a tabernacle. He desired the worship of His people as was His right.

organized religion is a way for people to have control over society and the world as a whole. I feel if you know what is in your heart then "their" religion isn't necessary, just what you believe.
