My daughter of 23 months has Optic Nerve Hypoplasia, is there anyone else who has or know anyone with this condition? Is there anyone in New Mexico?

I'm an optometrist in the UK, so I do come across this condition, though not that commonly. It is very variable in extent from case to case.

The URL below, from Scotland as it happens,
does give some good general pointers.

There are some possible treatments if one eye is more developed than another, some possible general health implications, and considerations of adjustments to the environment that may be helpful for development and schooling: lighting, spectacles, size of print and toys...

It's not a condition that should be strange to any ophthalmology department.

With best wishes,
