I just wanna know if a Phillips DVP5960 is multi region. Im in the UK and wanna play American Region 1 dvd's. Do you also need a multi region tv to do this?

you don't need a multi region tv however i'm not sure if your dvd player is multi region. it appears there are some of this model that are and some that aren't. i think the ones that are might be imported so it depends where you got yours from.
the region code is sometimes written on the box or on the back of the player but maybe the best way to find out would be to borrow a region 1 dvd from a friend and try it?
