it will hurt a little
you wont feel the blood coming out
its a very small needle
remind yourself of the reason your having the test,,,,
be happy that you have access to medical care, as opposed to being ill and having none
dont watch, look away from it,,, try to think of something else,, also remind yourself it will only last for a few minutes, or think of the little children with major illnesses that go threw it every day,,,, or anything that can help you feel better about it

It isn't the pain, it's just the idea of having something stuck in like that. You don't feel the blood coming out. It isn't that horrible, but I understand not liking needles. And the size of the needle isn't a big deal, it isn't huge, and it's very sharp so that it does what it does without you feeling more than you have to. Take along a little stuffed animal to cuddle and pay attention to, and tell them how scared you are. You'll be surprised how understanding they are. Relax. Turn your head away and pay attention to your little stuffed buddy. It'll be over before you know it.

every time i get blood drawn, i'm surprised at how quick, easy, and painless it is. best advice i can give you: dont look at the needle! it looks a lot scarier than it really is.
it may sting a bit but the people who draw the blood are usually really nice and they do the best they can to make it as painless as possible....you'll probly squeeze a ball in your fist to help get the blood pumping through your veins so the blood can come out quicker. I can assure you you'll be fine! if youre panicking, try to take deep breaths and you'll be just fine. Im sure youll discover afterwards that you really didnt need to panic.

Again, I hope this went well. Did you really think it hurt as bad as you thought it would? I usually get all scared and nervous and freak myself out, then it turns out being just this little pinch. Try to always breath long, deep breaths, and think happy thoughts. If you are alone, think about someone that would help you relax. Whenever I have to go alone I always think about my best friend, because if she were there, then I wouldn't be as scared. I always get really sqeamish about things like blood tests and shots too. Be brave and you can do this!!

Its not that bad. Just tell the doctor or nurse that you are afraid of needles & they will help you. You will feel a slight pinch & the blood will drain painlessly. After that you will feel a bit weak & dissy but they usually give you a sweet to suck on to raise your blood sugar level.

Hush, It wont hurt a bit. get someone to hold your other hand. Dont look. That helps. Check your veins now and pretend to tie up the top part of your arm. Do they veins bulge out? Then its going to be very easy.
Most people who take blood are experts.
