well, that might be a good idea, if canada and america worked together with the military, to protect the bourders, not really thinking so much of immigrants but more of terrorist , sneaking in that way

No, because except for one area, there is no threat to Canada from the US so it would be a waste of manpower. The only exception is the stretch of border south of Toronto which has in recent years become a crossing point for gangs of black bank robbers coming up from inner-city Detroit. Even there tho an actual military deployment would probably be overkill....

However if Canada really wants to station troops on the US border, or fortify it with a wall, or anything else they want, it's their decision to make not America's. It's their decision because Canada is a sovereign country which has every right under both moral and international law to regulate it's own borders as it sees fit....

If we Americans started trying to control how Canada manages it's own borders, we'd be bad neighbors. In fact, we'd be guilty of committing aggression against them, and they'd have a right to be angry at us. And who could blame them? What possible excuse could there be for such behaviour?

It's not like we're a socially primitive, Third World country with no effective government (except for a hereditary kleptocracy) like a certain southern neighbor I can think of.....

Absolutely not.

Our border should be watched and protected by a credible civilian force with the capacity to do its job. To put the military there is to distract them from some of their other more important jobs. Besides, I think it would be a violation of the trust our two nations have. Sure, maybe W. doesn't give a damn about that, (although it needs to be noted its the NATIONAL GUARD and not the Army working the border which is a very important distinction) but I do and maybe the next US president will too. I know it sounds supremely cliche, but two wrongs don't make a right.

They don't use military troops. However they do protect the board. When you go to work there. Even on a warranted American product. All the paper work needs to be in order. If there is anything that's out of order and your stopped three times your booted out of Canada for a year. You can't even visit.

For what purpose would you be asking this question? To avoid terrorism or to avoid illegal immigrants. If you are refering to the latter, the Canadian officials are pretty strict at border crossings. They don't hesitate to even take your car apart to search for things or wake a baby from it's baby seat and check his bottle...lol. (It happened to my Canadian friends when they visited the U.S. and were heading back home.) The officials on both sides are pretty good and there is enough law enforcement back up to call on. So again, why do you want the Canadian military troops at border crossings? lol

Ruby hon, ya need another "sicks months of kallege" here to bring ya up to speed! This is all covered in the fed's constitution! Tragically, the fed's constitution is not available for review by the general public like America's Constitution is! Soooooooo, ya just gotta BELIEVE in "whots yer told"! The Bushwhacker administration & house/senate has this ALL figured out for us, BELIEVE ME! Heres the good part tho... once the Obombus or McSame gain the oval office as our Commander In Chief(CIC) watch this baby shift from fourth gear into "high overdrive second"! Like ya won't believe how FASSSST the NAU, Amero, NWO, CFR & the likes invite themselves into your house, your wallet, your life, your internet, your thoughts, & even your panties or least what you do with whats inside them thar panties of "THEIRS" As the propagated economic/financial collapse of America becomes history, & the international banks own everything you thought you did, including the roof over your head watch the "sheple" fall into line for those GENEROUS fed handouts! I mean ya won't even have to hold a cardboard sign at the intersections! It'll ALL be GIVEN to ya!!! All you'll have to do is just surrender your "will & soul" to them, COMPLETELY, & they'll take REAL GOOD care of ya! Ron Paul warned about all this government encroachment in an interview I spied on youtube. The only thing Ron did not elaborate on, is the speed this would all be coming down onto American's shoulders. HERE'S WHAT REALLY HURTS THO, HERE'S WHAT REALLY HURTS THE MOST... "The elected officials of a country are but a mirrored image of the voting constituency"... & that both hurts & angers me more than anything else.... for theirs NO one to blame but us, the people!!!

Er...did you know that you can pass through the US Canada border without a passport? I doubt it. So why should there be troops at the border. USA and Canada has a very close relationship.
