my daughters are 18months and 3 months and the oldest was doing the same thing my doctor said try a humidifier at night. also you can turn your shower on hot let the bathroom steam up good then run a warm bath maybe put some calming bath soap in the water and just let her play untill the water starts getting cold or she starts getting tired whatever comes first. when you get her out dry her off good and put a t-shirt on her nothing to heavy(sometimes wearing heavey clothing can cause them to get hot and make them caugh also)then let her sleep with the humidifer. after a couple nights i could really hear a difference in my 18 month olds breathing she slept more peacefull the sounds from the machine also sooth my 3 month old to where she is now sleeping better also

If she is having the cough and cold constantly I presume she is allergic to something around her. For example if you live near the sea she may be allergic to the breeze or I know a 4 year old who had the same problem and it turned out to be that the ceiling paint was tearing off and she was allergic to this.
It's better to get your girl checked by a Doctor.
Home remedies would be don't bath her in the evenings but only mornings. Make sure the head is been dryed well. Don't give her too manny ice drinks or ice cream.

A teaspoon or two in a cup of hot water is very effective against coughs and runny noses and can help to keep her healthy. Also to help keep her immune system strong garlic or ginger used as a spice in her food can be very useful (don't overcook the garlic though and of course not so much either that you all begin to smell like it :) ). She may still get sick sometimes, but it should go away quicker and not be as bad.
