Hi Brenda--let's put it this way: "Most" people who haven't got it don't believe in it. I've no choice since I've got it. Sometimes I wish that I didn't. There are various "categories"--one that is often painful to me, is the non-intellectual floating senses about someone, often at great distances, of "concern." I'm always COMPELLED to find this person; for some reason that seems almost serendipity, I do, & discover (without exception) either that they have died, or are in a very tenuous health/emotional situation. In the latter case I do "help" by simply listening, or being able to provide suggestions. I find this quite draining, however. Precognition is different in that I've prevented potentially fatal incidents, or been able to "warn" someone & direct them in ways that preclude what would have been a disaster. Not always! but often. I'll also feel a good "energy" & discover that all my friends are experiencing positive things & gaining insights. My "night" dreams, (there are many different kinds of dreams also), have given me profound messages. I do not have the single psychic ability my mother had. She knew the instant of someone's death. I'll never forget her running out into the freezing Wisconsin Winter night because she heard her brother calling her. We lived in a very rural area, no phone. The following day, my aunt drove out from the city to tell her he had died, & it was at the precise time she heard him. (She had many more experiences like this.) I've had many, many more, but shan't belabour them here. People who know me well have relied on me for the things that I "see" & sense. Some people will scoff at the very idea of psychic abilities, just as they do about astrology, (I can perceive the 3 major signs in a stranger the moment I meet them, although I can't always be specific of "how" I do this). To the few people who "hassle" me--the disbelievers--I simply say that they aren't "required" to believe, & will NEVER get into a debate with them. I KNOW that I'm psychic, & just used these few rather general examples. I hope no one "jokes" about your question, yet I rather think that SOMEONE will. YOU know what you are, & that's truly all that counts, isn't it?
*** Just looked at your answers. "Amy" must know something about you that I don't; your question asked what others believed, not to tell you if you are. But ThatLady made me aware I hadn't mentioned that I'm only a "receiver." No further comments needed....

I truly believe there are psychic abilities within some people. As for myself, I dont believe that i have what you would call a sixth sense...Cherokee & Quawpaw Indian run deep in our family and i believe that what we experience leans more towards visions rather than simply being able to "tap" into others inner being. We simply are gifted with visions that in some way interperated predict future real life situations. I know that it is real, ive seen way too many of these visions act therselves out within my life as well as my mothers. Id really like to talk to you if i may, just for some intelligent conversation that many around me would never believe...

It's very easy to prove it exsists. Take evolution and man. A man can not know nor create any thought except based on experience right? Now consider evolution, how can you evolve 5 senses from no past experience without having a 6th. This obviously discredits evolution.

I believe that everyone has the ability to pay attention to energy transfer and presence. Unfortunately we are always taught that its just our imagination so we lose the ability. Some out there are gifted in there ability retain that acuity.
amy, that was so expected that I can't even muster a tiny smidge of a laugh.

Psychic give 100 lies with 1 truth. When the truth comes true people forget about the 100 lies.
It was narrated that ‘Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) said: Some people asked the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) about fortunetellers. He said: “They are nothing.” They said: “O Messenger of Allaah, sometimes they tell us something and it is true.” The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “That is a word of the truth that they learn from the jinni which he whispers into the ear of his familiar, but they mix a hundred lies with it.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 5429; Muslim, 2228.

We Christians don't call it psychic ability but it a is a gift from the Holy Spirit to us.....Where does your power come from? What master do you serve for you cannot serve both masters? The Holy spirit tells us of things sometimes as the Holy Spirit chooses... to use us for good work. Check in the book of Acts of the bible and you will see the gifts of the spirit.....

I believe it exists. I have a psychic link with one of my sisters and two of my friends. But I am a receiver, not a sender. So, I hear them, but they can't hear me. Weird isn't it?

I knew you were going to ask that question.
I also knew you'd get mad when you read what I just wrote.
And I knew you'd laugh at that last part, too.
We are everywhere.
