Does anyone have an educated answer as to what might be causing occasional pain in the tip of my left index finger? It is right beneath the nail bed. Feels like a throbbing pain, occasionally shooting. I only get it a few times a day, been going on for a couple weeks. I know this is the large intestine meridian but that's not helping. It does tell me there is a nerve that runs to the tip of that finger that could be potentially acting up...but why? Please only answer if you have a real medical source...I've clearly done enough speculation of my own! Thank you!

well ma'am I am not sure of meridians but little finger is innervated with the nerver that is typically involved in carpal tunnel syndrome as well, so if your symptoms are still persisting, I would see a doctor to evaluate that. otherwise such localised things often act up and siappear by the time you have finished a million dollar workup. so if the shooting sensation is bearable and not too bad and is accompanied by no swelling, redness etc, then you could also consider sitting on it a few more weeks and it may disappear too, good luck
