YES!!!! you should definately be concerned!!!! your friend is trying to relieve anger/stress in his life by taking it out upon himself...which is not healthy at all...You should confront your friend saying that you are worried about him going too far and getting himself seriously injured! even if he admits that it will not go tnat far you should still encourage him to find alternative ways to vent out his anger...like grab a punching bag and beat the **** out of it...it works for everyone. As to him saying he likes the scars I think that is a cop-out to the real reason why he is doing it. Maybe the pain is a way to relieve his anger or maybe he feels that by burning himself, he can somehow forget the pain he was feeling and focus on the pain he is feeling due to the burning...and forget about the pain he felt and just remember the scars...but if it is not and he/she really likes scars. I would give him this advice: Scars are not cool....they are physical signs of how one has f'ed up in life, being a cut from a knife that slit his finger or arm, to a snowboarding accident that required surgery. Most scars are a visable sign to tell the wearer...damn I f'ed up Im not going to do that again...but he seems to not get the point. If you need nemore info please feel free to send me a message.
Thanks
Hope this helps

Yes, be concerned that he doesn't have any lighter fluid. Make sure he has a full supply of lighter fluid or gasoline, and make sure he is dowsed with it next time he tries to burn himself, and maybe he will die.
