My 20 year old guy friend and myself (also 20) would like to go on a trip to a carribean location, or anywhere with clear water that is atleast 80-90 degrees currently. We don't have passports and want to go in the next couple of weeks. There are trips available, however, most require a passport. We were intending to go on a cruise, and we would have been able to with valid birth certificates. However, you must be 21 or be accompanied by someone 21 or older to do so, so that has been squashed. Does anyone know of a cruise line that allows two 20 year olds to go without passports and someone 21 or older or a location that we can fly straight to without necessitating passports? I have flown directly into the Dominican Republic before with just a valid birth certificate but do not want to go there again, looking to go somewhere new. I have also already been to Puerto Rico. Any suggestions? Any links would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Try Saint Thomas or any of the U.S. Virgin Islands.

the US Virgin Islands answers are correct........you do NOT need a passport ...by air or by sea.....to visit and or return to the US from St Thomas because we are America.

Do try to have multiple documentation.......drivers license AND birth certificate or Social Security Card.......

AND CHECK WITH THE AIRLINES! some airlines WILL require a passport, even though State/Customs don't....that's just the way they are....

and today in ST Thomas its 82 degrees at 10 AM and the water is clear down to 30 feet out my office window

Definitely the U.S. Virgin Islands. Go to St. Thomas and from there visit St. John. Beautiful!

if you manage to leave the US (and not to a US territory) without a passport, don't you think it will be easier gaining entry when you return if you have a passport?
