By depression I mean apathy, oversleeping, lying in bed all day
I guess depression is where I feel both me and the rest of the world is doomed and I can’t do anything to make any difference, and laziness is indulging in the pleasure of drowsiness.

1. depression is a mental illness.
2. laziness is part of the human condition.
everybody is to a certain degree lazy.. if you want to argue then thell me why people drive to the local shops down hte street. and not everybody is afflicted with depression.
they're actually two very different things.
depression is generally caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain, laziness hasn't proven to be so and probably never will be.

Laziness is a judgment taught to us by our culture. We are a deppressed society, there are those repressing their emotions and the others over-feeling theirs. It is balanced, we are one unit of emotions. I call depressed people unexpressed artists. That is their role in the culture to express what is unexpressed in it. If you are a feeler, then you will be exhausted by the barage of emotions from others as much as your own. The world is not doomed, and the ones that will save it are the ones that are feelers. learn to express . This is a tough concept but play with it, put an emotion into art, if it makes you cry or laugh, then you have succeeded.
