I think Canada bought them all up, and is just waiting for the U.S.A. to run out of the ones we have now !!

Those batteries existed many years ago. They were very large bulky and very expensive to use. As they had limited uses they disappeared from the market

Those batteries were used for vacuum tube radios back about 80 years ago. Once they figured out how to use the tubes and other electronic devices to create the voltages they needed (in the 1930's), the batteries disappeared from retail stores. The B batteries were used for the tube output, or plate, and sometimes you'll see switches for the B+ on old radios (in old movies, too) that would let you put it in a standby mode to keep from running down the battery.

The amateur radio folks used to have some good books on the ancient (but still useful) technologies...

yea just go to walmart. Go in the very back of the store or to the camera part and ask them were they store them.

I get mine at Walgreens or WalMart, Radio Shack has them but they are high there.
