anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks - get you application checked at the post office before sernding it. costs a few pounds but better than getting it wrong asnd cheaper than going to the passport office

It all depends on the time of year, the busy period is just before the summers holidays.
If you need it quick, go direct to one of the passport offices. Last time it only took me 3 hours, but it could all be different now with the new bio passports.

I sent a normal application off recently - didn't use the fast track service and I got my passport back a week later.
Just make sure your photos are exactly as they say otherwise they will send them back!

it takes 6 weeks by post if you have the relavnt documents you can go to liverpool and get it done in a day if you are a citezen of britain
