I don't know about that, but I do know that it is very rare to have a phone "tap" People see it all the time on Tv and movies, and it doesn't happen that much. I'm not sure if there's a number you can call or dial to check if your phone is tapped, but I think when you try to call your phone, you hear this clicking. Like click, click, click in the first three rings. I knew someone whose phone was tapped before by the police. And whenever I called her phone, I always hear clicking in the first three rings. Then I guess it starts recording the entire call, I don't know. I'm not sure though if this is accurate.

there isn't a number you can call but you can tell by how the quality of the call is. If it sounds distorted or like you are speaking to the other person in a large vacant building it is a good chance you are in a tapped conversation

You can request that the phone company comes out and checks your line.IF IT WAS PUT ON BY THE POLICE I BELIEVE YOU WILL NOT HAVE A CLEAR CONNECTION WHEN YOU USE YOUR PHONE YOU MAY HERE CLICKING THERE IS USUALLY SOME TYPE OF BACK GROUND NOISE.
THEY ALSO SELL THESES DEVICES AT ELECTRONIC STORES THAT COULD BE ADDED ON BY SOMEONE IN YOUR HOME CHECK YOUR BASEMENT ALL OF YOUR LINES AND PHONES.
GOOD LUCK!!!
